What once we held as truth has been proven false.
Our sweet little peanut, Snow Angel, is 5 and a half months old! Can you believe it??! (I can't either.)
We were told "He's a preemie, so he will develop more slowly than a normal child... so don't be disappointed if he doesn't meet milestones as quickly as his brother did."
We expected that to be truth. He, however, has set out to prove us wrong.
At 5 1/2 months, the sweet Snow Angel does so many things....
holds his head up steadily, and can rest on his elbows with his head up when on his belly.
rolls over with ease.
chatters incessantly.
says "mama", "Ajo", "hi" and "i love you".
sits up, though not quite steadily just yet.
scoots and rolls everywhere.
smiles non-stop.
has two bottom teeth and is getting two on top.
plays with everything he can get his hands on.
eats very well - 4 times a day.
enjoys going to the park and watching his big brother play.
enjoys sleeping on his belly.
So far he has tried:
rice cereal
rice cereal with apples and bananas
bananas
mangoes
peaches
pears
apples
oranges
vanilla wafer cookies
peas
carrots
yellow squash
zucchini
white potato
yukon gold potato
sweet potato
chicken
It is absolutely amazing to watch him meet milestones... he is amazing.
His big brother is infatuated with him. He loves to try to show him new things...and talk to him. He helps us take care of him when he can. He shares with him.
I am literally in Heaven. Having two boys is so amazing. So fulfilling. They are my joy.

The Belly - Weeks 29-32
September 14, 2013 - Belly Week 29
More things I miss from "life before the belly": walking sans waddle
It is entertaining to watch you move in response to external stimuli. It could be that I'm just easily entertained, but I get a real kick out of watching.
Your big brother likes to push gently or tap on my belly and watch you push back. He laughs when you kick his hand... which makes me laugh. It's so precious - you aren't even born and you're already interacting with your brother.
It's the beginning of a very close friendship.
September 21, 2013 - The Belly Week 30
I think you're going to be between 8 and 9 pounds when you're born. You lay differently than your brother did - so you're sometimes heavier feeling.
Size wise, I don't look larger than I did with your brother. It will be interesting to see how big you really are when you are born.
September 28, 2013 - The Belly Week 31
I am now most comfortable sleeping: on my side
I am now getting up to pee about 3 times per night.
You continue to be extremely active. I don't have to do kick counts because you move throughout the day. It almost feels like you're a kickboxer at times.
October 5, 2013 - The Belly Week 32
We are in sunny, hotter than Hates, Orlando, Florida. We do a lot of walking, which is helping control my blood sugars. If only I lived here, and were able to visit the parks weekly!!
You kicked and your brother really felt it for the first time. He blamed me... but he thought I was playing. Too cute!
