Maternity clothing is spendy. I am always amazed at the audacity of companies to charge such high prices for clothing you only get to wear for a few months. Some are lucky and get to use their clothing more than once, but I really feel for those who cannot... because these things aren't cheap, ladies and gentlemen!.
When I wore my first maternity outfit:
I started wearing the casual shirts at 10 weeks. The pants came at about 12.5 weeks... and the jeans, sometime in between. The styles of clothing today allowed me to wear my work pants and shirts a little bit longer... I believe I finally completely transitioned to professional clothing around 15 weeks.
My favorite maternity outfit is:
My yoga pant leggings.... and the cute shirts I have to wear with them. They are so comfy... almost like pregnancy Heaven. :)
I borrowed maternity clothing from:
No one. My friends and I are all different sizes, and none of them are pregnant right now.
Record number of days in a row I wore the same heinous pair of stretch pants:
I usually only wear them 2-3 days, depending on how hot it is out. And I only do this at home. When going to work, I wear something different every day.

Au Revoir, Jeans...au revoir, any semblance of a waist
Although I am still able to wear most of my pre-pregnancy wardrobe, there are times when I know this is going to have to change a lot sooner than it did with my first pregnancy. I can't believe how much earlier I started to show this time! Strange how the body can retain such information.
When I more or less popped:
At about the 8 week point, I started to show a little bit. This is a LOT earlier than I showed with my first pregnancy. While I was happy to be starting to show earlier, I was also kind of sad to have to pull out maternity clothing so early.
If and when my belly button popped:
I know that many women have this happen... but it has yet to happen to me. It never did so my first pregnancy, so I don't anticipate it happening on this one.
I'm starting to feel like:
A fertility goddess. This answer makes me giggle... mostly because the other option is Budda, and I'm far from that stage. But it is something pretty special to know you're pregnant when you're just starting to show.
More thoughts on getting big:
I am glad I'm showing earlier this time. Last time, I wondered if I'd ever get to use my maternity clothes. This time, it looks like I will get to use them a lot earlier, which is great. Those clothes are really spendy!
My exercise regime:
I try to get on the treadmill and/or walk outside at least 30 minutes 3-4 times each week. There are weeks when it's near impossible to make this happen, but I'm able to get it in for the most part.

May 20, 2013 - First OB Appointment
This is a day I will never forget because we heard your heartbeat for the first time. Hearing your heart beating, which sounded like a miracle taking place, and thinking of how much fun you will have with your big brother was just indescribable.
We watched you as you move around. You're a pretty active little angel... just like your big brother was. You'll need to be energetic to keep up with your brother.
We can't wait to find out if you're a boy or a girl. Only about five more weeks! We're hoping you're a little girl, but we'll be happy either way. Who wouldn't be overjoyed with a miracle???

The Belly - Weeks 9-12 - Late First Trimester
We're almost to the end of the first trimester. It's amazing how fast this time goes by. Even with the long waits for appointments... it flies.
April 27, 2013 - Week 9
We see Dr. J again in May.
Early pregnancy is always difficult. No weight gain, can't feel you moving yet... so I look forward to the OB appointments when we can see/hear you. That is the best way to know you're okay.
May 2, 2013 - The Belly Week 9 and 5 days
Weight gained: 5lb
Estimated Size of You: .14oz, 1.2" - about the size of a cherry
We just met with a nurse to review paperwork today and get everything transferred over to OB. I also had yet another blood test ordered - thank goodness this is the last one for a while!
May 4, 2013 - Week 10
I might have to start digging out my maternity clothes soon. At least the bottoms! My normal pants are getting a bit snug feeling, even though I don't really see any numbers going up on the scale.
The low weight gain is good. I'm trying hard to keep it lower this time... and my efforts are paying off! Clothes getting snug means you're growing - and your living quarters are expanding to accommodate your growth.
May 11, 2013 - Week 11
Snapshot of Our Life:
Music that we have been listening to lately: 80s - always 80s...along with some nursery rhymes and Disney music thrown in there - your brother loves Disney and nursery rhymes.
Recent movie I've seen: Ice Age 3, Toy Story 1-3 (We've been watching lots of the Disney Jr channel lately).
Books I'm reading: Kingdom Keepers I by Ridley Pearson
Top news story: Israel and Syria conflict - they just can't seem to get along over there. The right to marry debate - whether alternative lifestyles have the right to marriage. Gun control - is the general public responsible enough to own guns?
May 18, 2013 - Week 12
The end of the first trimester has arrived. Holy smokes!
I can't wait until my appointment to see Dr. J again... I get to see you again. It's a couple more days away... *sigh*.
Now, I can tell everyone else... not quite so fast! I'm still enjoying the secret. But almost!
